iRobot launches two automated robotic floor cleaners in India
America Based Robotics company iRobot has entered the Indian market by launching Roomba and Braava, two automated floor cleaners in India. Puresight Systems that is based in Bengaluru will be the official distributor of their products in the country. The Roomba comes in a circular shape and design, the Braava has a rectangular design.

The iRobot Roomba range has five vaccum cleaning robots ranging from the Roomba 620 to the Roomba 880. The Roomba 600 series comes with sensors that avoid stairs and other drop offs and utilises acoustic sensors detect dirt. It has an anti-tangle technology that deals with the cords.
The Roomba 700 series has a integrated optical sensors and offers higher battery life and more suction power. The Roomba 800 series are five times more powerful and feature HEPA filters, which allow them to capture dust particles as small as one micron. The Roomba series robots feature auto charging and scheduled cleaning.
iRobot Braava is a floor mopping automatic robotic cleaner, which can do both wet and dry cleaning.
iRobot Roomba series robots are priced between Rs. 32,900 and Rs. 69,900. The Braava costs Rs. 27,900. They will be available via the company's website. iRobot will also partner with e-commerce portal in the country to sell them. Initially the business will be done in Bengaluru for two year and then expand across India in stages.
