Leading private Chinese entertainment company LeTV announced the Le 1s, successor to the Le 1 smartphones that was launched in April, earlier this year. The brand is touting the Le 1s as the world’s first smartphone to boast a mirror fingerprint sensor, but the company did not detail about its functionality.

The LeTV Le 1s features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) incell display with 500nits brightness. Inside there is a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 32GB. It runs Android Lollipop based EUI 5.5.

For imaging, there a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, ISOCELL sensor and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus). On the front, it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with Samsung S5K5E2 sensor, 85-degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture.

The Le 1s has SIM slot and supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB Type C connectivity. It has an inbuilt IR Blaster, that enables the phone to function as a universal remote.

It is fueled by 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging. The company says that charging the phone using 24W charger for 5 minutes will let you make a voice call for 3.5 hours. The device flaunts a premium all-metal unibody design, measures 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.5 mm and weighs around 169 grams.

The LeTV Le 1s is priced at CNY 1099 ($172 | Rs. 11,000). The company said the bill of materials (BOM) adds up to CNY 1310, so it is selling the smartphone at a loss. 300,000 units of LeTV Le 1s will go on sale through the official lemall mall & JD.com in China on November 3.
