Xiaomi to launch 'Next Generation' product on October 19

Xiaomi has scheduled an event on October 19, where the company will introduce a new product. The company did not reveal which device it will be launching. The invite simply states that it will be a next-generation Mi device, which could be the Mi 5 flagship, Mi Pad 2 next-gen Mi Band or any other Mi's crazy gadgets.

Except the Mi 5 smartphone, the details about other said devices are a mystery. The October 19 launch also corroborates with an earlier report that suggested that the Mi 5 will be available in November. Considering that the Mi 4 was launched in July, last year, we can expect Xiaomi to finally unveil the Mi 5.

As per rumors, the Mi 5 features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection, MediaTek Helio X20 or Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB RAM, 16MP / 13MP rear and front camera and a 3000mAh battery with quick charging support.

There is also a larger variant of Mi 5 Plus which is rumored to come with 5.7-inch Quad HD display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, MediaTek Helio X20 / Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 23-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 13-megapixel front shooter and a 3500mAh battery.

Anyways this is all just rumors, we will know all the official details and what the new product is on October 19.
