Lenovo Vibe X3 with 5.5-inch display, fingerprint sensor gets official

Lenovo has unveiled the Vibe X3 smartphone, the sucessor to the vibe X2. The Vibe X3 will be available in two different variants- Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 Youth.

Both Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 Youth feature some of the common specs. They offer 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) displays with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.Both include a fingerprint sensorat the rear panel just below the main camera. They have hybrid dual-SIM slots, which means users can either use two SIM cards or a Single SIM card alongside a microSD card. There is also support for 4G LTE connectivity on both the device. The Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 Youth also features Dolby Atmos certification, three Texas Instruments OPA1612 amplifiers, a Cirrius Logic WM8281 codec for noise and echo cancellation to handle the input from three microphones and a high end Sabre 9018X2M DAC.

Indivually the Lenovo Vibe X3 packs a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, aided the 3GB RAM. It comes in two storage models 32GB or 64GB. For imaging, it is equipped with 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, LED flash, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), and 4K video recording support. On the front there sits a 8-megapixel selfie camera. It is fueled by 3600mAh battery, which supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

The Lenovo Vibe X3 Youth is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage. It sports 13-megapixel rear camera alongside 5-megapixel front camera. It is fueled by 3400mAh battery.

The Lenovo Vibe X3, 32GB vairant and 64GB viariant are priced at CNY 2,499 ($390 | Rs. 26,000) and CNY 2,999 ($470 | Rs. 31,000), respectively. The Vibe X3 Youth costs CNY 1899 ($300 | Rs. 20,000). They are now available for pre-orders in China. Lenovo hasn't yet announced the Vibe X3's availability outside China.
