Philips Sapphire S616, Sapphire Life V787 has 'Soft Blue' display that reduce eye-strain

Philips has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of Sapphire S616 and Sapphire Life V787 smartphones in China. These smartphones come with 'SoftBlue' technology, that reduces the blue light coming from a screen by up to 86 percent, thus reducing eye fatigue

As for specs, the Philips Sapphire S616 features 5.5-inch Full HD display and packs a 3000mAh battery. The Philips Sapphire Life V787 has a 5-inch Full HD display and is fueled by a 5000mAh battery that can give up to 47 hours of talk time by using the company’s patented Xenium technology.. Rest of the specs on both the smartphones are the same.

The Philips Sapphire S616 and Life V787 are powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC with Mali T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. They run Android 5.1 Lollipop with Philips own UI on top. The phones are equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The 13-megapixel rear camera in Sapphire Life V87 includes Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology that can focus in just 0.2 secs.

The Philips Sapphire S616 is priced at CNY 1399 ($220 | Rs. 14,500) and will be available starting November. The Philips Sapphire Life V787 will be available by end of November, the pricing is not yet revealed.
