Android One 6.0.1 OTA Brings Better Battery Life, New Emojis

                                                       


The first generation of the Android One phones have started receiving  the Android 6.0.1 OTA update.

This update is not a major one, but does fix the battery drain issue that was experience in the first Android Marshmallow 6.0 update. 

                                                     
                                                      



This update also includes a few minor GUI tweaks, such as the fonts used in the Contacts application.




                                                       



According to the update info, this update "improves performance and stability and bug fixes".

The 75.6 MB update was rolled out last week.
