Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus got cheaper in India, receives price cut of up to Rs. 10,000
Apple India has reduced the price of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India by up to 16 percent or Rs. 10,000, reports Economics Times. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were launched in the country back in October at Rs. 62,000 and Rs. 72,000 respectively for the 16GB model.
Now the price of iPhone 6s 16GB model ranges between Rs. 52,000 and Rs. 55,000, while the iPhone 6s Plus is now available for around Rs. 60,500. The price drops are available across various storage models for the new iPhones.
The prices have come down significantly, especially after the decline of iPhone's demand in the country due to high pricing and Apple is trying to revive demand for the October to December quarter, which is Apple's strongest sales quarter.
“The reduction also narrows the gap with prices of iPhone 6 devices launched in 2014, making an upgrade more attractive for customers. The price difference between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s was a lot, so many customers are not willing to upgrade to the new model," reports ET
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have already been available at reduced prices via online stores for a few weeks now. Even though Apple sets a MRP rate, some third party retailers sell them in cheaper rate. Earlier this month, Apple dropped the price of iPhone 5s 16GB to Rs. 24,999 and now it is available for as low as Rs. 20,499.
This makes it the perfect time to buy iPhone devices especially before the holidays in the country.
