Lava Iris Atom, Iris Atom 3 launched for Rs. 4,249 and Rs. 4,899

It's raining entry-level devices in the Indian smartphone market. After iBall, Xolo, Asus and Karbonn, Lava International has outed two entry-level handsets - the Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3. The company also announced that it sold more than 1.5 million units of its Iris Atom series.

The Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 have dual-SIM slots, run Android 5.1 Lollipop and support smart gesture controls like opening apps by drawing specific letters on the lockscreen (W- browser, M- music, V- video player, Z- radio). They share quite a few specifications including 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB expandable storage, 5-megapixel camera w/ LED flash and 3G support.

Indiviually, the Lava Iris Atom sports a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) display, VGA front snapper and is fueled by 1500mAh battery, while the Iris Atom 3 sports a larger 5-inch FWVGA display, 2-megapixel front camera and is backed by 2000mAh battery.

The Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 are priced at Rs. 4249 and Rs. 4899, respectively, and will be available across all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and online platforms. They come in Black and White colors.
