Microsoft Lumia 950 & 950 XL, Lumia 550, LG Lancet to get Windows 10 Mobile Insider builds

Microsoft revealed that more devices will be added to the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Program starting next week. The new devices available for Windows Insider include Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 550 and LG Lancet.

Microsoft will also roll out updated Windows Device Recovery Toot, which will resolve the detection issues on these devices. Using the tool you will be able to restore your phone to a working version of Windows Phone, if things go south.

Note that even though Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 Xl were the first devices to run Windows 10 Mobile, they did not support Windows Insider Program. They shipped with Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.0 and since this build Microsoft has fixed a tone of issues. By enabling Insider Preview builds, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL will get latest bug fixes and improvements, which is good news for the owners.

Just recently Microsoft rolled out its first Cumulative update to Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10586, addressing feedbacks from Windows 10 insider. The build 10586.29, in addition to bringing Insider Program support to the Lumia 950, 950 XL, 550 and LG Lancet, comes with improvements and fixes to the Preview Build in the fast and slow rings.
