Motorola Moto 360 Sport landing in UK and France this month, U.S in January
Motorola has announced that it will be rolling out the Moto 360 Sport edition smartwatch starting from this month. The Moto 360 Sport was unveiled alongside 2nd gen Moto 360 in September at IFA. The brand has also revealed the full specs and pricing of the Moto 360 Sport.
The Moto 360 Sport is aimed at fitness enthusiasts and features a heart rate monitor and built-in GPS. The GPS works seamlessly with the Moto Body app to track distance traveled, pace, lap times and more. It also works with Android fitness apps including Fitbit 3, MapMyRun, Under Armour Record and Starva.
Specwise, Moto 360 Sport features a 1.37-inch (360 x 325 pixels) AnyLight Hybrid display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The AnyLight Hybrid display makes the LCD screen more readable indoors and outdoors. The smartwatch comes with 1.2GHz Snapragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-microphones. Sensors on board include barometric altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and vibration/haptics engine.
The smartwatch is fueled by 300mAh battery, which will last up to a full day with Ambient display on, as per the brand. It sports a sweat resistant silicon band, runs Android Wear, and is water resistant thanks to the IP67 rating. Users can also sync music from Google Play Music, to listen to without requiring their smartphone.
The Moto 360 Sport cost $299 (Rs. 19,990) and will go on sale in the UK and France starting December 18, followed by the U.S from January 7, and other other markets including Brazil, Canada, China, Mexico and Spain in early 2016. It comes in Black, White and Orange hues.
