OnePlus 2 now available on Amazon India without an invite

OnePlus 2 is now invite-free in India forever and can now be purchased exclusively from Amazon India for Rs. 24,999. The OnePlus 2 was supposed to go invite-free from December 5, but the company issued a blog post stating that the date wasn't applicable for India, with the invite-free status only in-effect from December 7 at 2pm IST. 

To remind you, the OnePlus 2 went on sale in India back in August.  It features 5.5-inch 1080p display, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 430 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 13-megapixel rear & 5-megapixel front cameras, 4G LTE, USB Type-C connectivity and 3300mAh battery. Other features include fingerprint scanner, removable back cover with optional style swap covers and alert slider. There is also a 16GB storage w/ 3GB RAM model, priced at Rs. 22,999 which will be made available at a later date.

The OnePlus runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Oxygen OS, and the brand has already announced it will release Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the smartphone soon.

In related news, OnePlus X will be available without an invite on December 8 via Ola app from 10am to 7pm.
