OnePlus X will be invite free every Tuesday, starting today

The OnePlus X will be be available without invites every Tuesday starting from today. Previously you needed an invite to get your hands on the device, but now, the restrictions are being lifted once a week.

OnePlus announced the news via micro-blogging site twitter and stated that the invite-free Tuesday sale of OnePlus X begins this week. Unfortunately, the Tuesday Open sale dosen't apply to Indian customers, who require a country-specific invite to purchase OnePlus X. Note that, it is likely that the device's availability will only come in limited quantity every Tuesday.

The news comes after OnePlus scrapped the invite system for purchasing the OnePlus 2 smartphone forever.

To recap, OnePlus X was launched in India in October for Rs. 16,999 for the Onyx edition. It features 5-inch Full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD card slot. 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera, dual-SIM, 4G LTE and other standard connectivity support and a 2525mAh battery.
