Samsung Galaxy A9 with 6-inch display gets official

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A9 in China. The Galaxy A9 is the new high-end model for the Galaxy A series and sports a metal frame and glass back.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 sports 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 652 (620) processor with Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

For photography it is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, S5K3L2 sensor, f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. On the front sits a 8-megapixel snapper for clicking selfies. 

The dual-SIM (nano + nano) phone supports 4G LTE, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+ and NFC. It is fueled by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Also on-board is a fingerprint sensor under home button with support for Samsung Pay. 

The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes in White, Gold and Pink colors. There is no word on pricing and availability yet.
