Asus Live with 5-inch display, quad-core SoC launched in Brazil

Asus's latest smartphone dosen't have 'ZenFone' in its name. The Taiwan based company has announced Asus Live in Brazil. The phone sports plastic frames, rounded back and corners, but has different colors around the frame (blue, pink or yellow).

The Asus Live sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor with Mali 400 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card.

Camera-wise, it is equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera. The dual-SIM phone runs Android Lollipop 5.1 with Zen UI 2.0 on top and supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It also comes with digital TV support, a feature that is popular in Brazil. The device sips power from a 2070mAh battery.

The Asus Live is priced at 949 Brazilian Real ($210 | Rs. 14,000). There is no word on global availability.
