Asus Pegasus with 4850mAh battery launched in China
ASUS has launched a new smartphone under its Pegasus series in China, the Pegasus 5000. The main highlight of the device is its 4850mAh battery, which promises to last for up to two days on moderate usage. The phone has a special texture on the back that keeps fingerprints at bay.
The Asus Pegasus 5000 features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is equipped with 1.3GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor with 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Zen UI on top.
It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The dual SIM phone supports 4G TD-LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Asus Pegasus 5000 is priced at CNY 1299 ($197 | Rs. 13,390) for the 2GB RAM model and CNY 1799 ($273 | Rs. 18,500) for the 3GB RAM model. It comes win Blue and Golden colors, and will be available soon through China Telecom.
