LeEco launches the Le Max, Le 1s in India

China based LeEco (formerly LeTv) has officially marked its debut in India with the launch of Le Max and Le 1s smartphones. Both the Le Max and Le 1s will be Flipkart exclusive and the brand has opted for flash sales to sell these smartphone.

The LeEco Le 1s is priced at Rs. 10,999 and will go on sale on February 2. The LeEco Max is priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 64GB Silver variant and Rs. 36,999 for the 128GB Gold variant. There is also a premium model called Le Max Sapphire (128GB Pink variant) that costs a whooping Rs. 69,999. The flash sale of Le Max is set for February 16. Registration for the sales are now open.

Spec-wise the LeEco Le Max sports a 6.33-inch QHD display with 0.8mm narrow border and is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB RAM, 21-megapixel rear camera (w/ Sony's IMX230 sensor, dual tone LED flash, PDAF, IOS) and 4-megapixel front snapper. It has USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner, and runs Android Android 5.0 Lollipop based EUI 5.5 UI.

The LeEco Le 1s is equipped with 5.5-inch 1080p display, octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 13-megapixel rear camera (w/ LED flash and PDAF) and 5-megapixel front shooter. It also gets a Fingerprint scanner, infrared sensor, Dirac HD audio technology and USB Type-C port. It runs Android Lollipop based EUI 5.5 and is fueled by 3000mAh battery with fast charging support. The company says a 5 minute charge will let you make a voice call for 3.5 hours.

The company promised that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Le Max and Le 1s will likely be made available in March-April.

LeEco known for its content streaming services in China, and the company is bringing this to India too. LeEco has partnered with YuppTV to bring over 250 live channels in 12 languages, as well as Eros International for Bollywood movies for its smartphones. Both Le Max and Le 1s comes bundled with a year's subscription of ErosNow. LeEco also said that it has 550 service centers across India.
