Moto G Turbo now getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India

The Motorola Moto G Turbo is now getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India. The update is being rolled out in phases, so it will take a while before it hits your device.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow over-the-air (OTA) update v24.11.22 for the Moto G Turbo is 445.5MB in size and brings brings several new features and enhancements to the device. Also included is the Android security update for December. Users can manually check for the update by going to Settings> About Phone> System Update.

For those unaware, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow features include App Permissions, Web Experience, App Links, Mobile Payments, Fingerprint Support and Power & Charging. It also brings new Doze battery saving feature that uses motion detection to cut off background activity when the phone is in standby. Apart from Marshamallow features, Motorola will be pushing Moto-specific changes to the device.

The Moto G 2015, Moto X Style and Moto X Play are already receiving Android Marshmallow in the country.
