Polaroid unveils Power, Snap Android smartphones
U.S based Polaroid known for its cameras has unveiled two Android smartphones- the Polaroid Snap and Polaroid Power (left to right in the photo). They support 4G LTE connectivity and run Android 5.1 Lollipop (upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow)
Polaroid did not make these phones, instead it licensed its brand to Southern Telecom (manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronics and accessories) which designed and manufactured the Polaroid Snap and Power.
The Polaroid Snap comes in three sizes, 5-, 5.5- and 6-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is equipped with quad-core processor. It comes in two RAM/ROM model - 1GB RAM w/ 8GB internal storage or 2GB RAM w/ 16GB internal storage. MicroSD card slot is also on-board. For imaging there is 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash to offer accurate photos in low light conditions, and 5-megapixel front snapper with LED flash. It comes in Pink, Blue, Black and White colors.
The Polaroid Power features a 6-inch Full HD display and is powered by 64-bit octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, further expandable via microSD card. It is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and 8-megapixel front snapper with selfie flash. It is fueled by 3000mAH battery and comes with an additional 8000mAh slim external power bank.
The Polaroid Snap is priced at $129.99 - $179.99 depending on screen size, while the Polaroid Power costs $249.99, and will be available in the U.S sometime in February.
