Samsung unveils 15-inch and 13.3-inch Notebook 9 series laptops

Samsung has unveiled two new laptops in its Notebook 9 series, a 15-inch model and other 13.3-inch model. Both run Windows 10 out of the box and are extremely lightweight.

The 13.3-inch model has a 1080p screen and can be confirgured with up to Intel Core i7 processor, with 4GB/8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 128GB/256GB SSD storage. There is a 2 x USB 3.0 ports, micro HDMI port, mini Ethernet, DisplayPort, 3-in-1 card reader, 720p camera and a combo headphone/microphone jack. Battery life is claimed to be up to 10 hours on a single charge. 

The 15-inch Notebook 9 model comes with similar internal specifcations as the 13.3-inch model. It comes with USB Type C port, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, mini Ethernet, 3-in-1 card reader, 720p camera and a combo headphone/microphone jack. On a single charge it offers 12 hours of battery life.

The 13.3-inch model has a waistline of just 13.4mm and weighs 0.84kg, whereas the 15.6-inch model is only 14.5mm thick and weighs 1.29kg. Both the models have magnesium alloy build. They come in two colors, Iron Silver and Modern Pink

The Samsing Notebook 9 series will be available to purchase in select regions from March 2016. No pricing information has yet been provided.
