Entry-level Gionee Pioneer P5W launched in India for Rs. 6,499
Gionee has launched a new entry-level smartphone, the Pioneer P5W in India. The phone comes in a range of colors with matching UI, customized lock called AMI lock and face unlock that can unlock the device in 0.5 seconds. It also comes with DTS technology-powered speakers to deliver a surround sound experience.
As for the hardware specs, Gionee P5W comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor further aided by Mali T720 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 UI on top. For imaging, it sports 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls. It has dual-SIM slots and supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG connectivity. A 2000mAh battery keeps it running.
The Gionee P5W is priced at Rs. 6,499 and will be available via online and offline channels in the country. It comes in a wide range of colors including White, Blue, Red, Yellow and Black.
