Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge new images, details surfaces

It is now safe to assume that Samsung will launch two Galaxy flagship - Galaxy S7 and S7 edge at its Unpacked event on February 21 at Barcelona. However ahead of the announcement the leaks of both the devices just keep popping up. The latest leak to hit the interweb is a render and couple of live shots of Galaxy S7 edge.

Evan Blass who has already shared a couple of render image of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, has shared a new render of Galaxy S7 edge, which gives us another look at the upcoming device in Silver color. Meanwhile, a new image of Galaxy S7 in Gold color also surfaced, that shows the front and back of the device. As said earlier, the design of the Galaxy S7 series are similar to the Galaxy S6 family.

Earlier this week, few details of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge also surfaced online. First up, Samsung applied a patent application with the USTPO and requested to trademark the term "Always On Mode". It is being said that the feature uses just one percent of charge from the battery every hour. The "Always On Mode" could be similar to Motorola's Active display and Lumia's Glace Screen, that offers notifications without turning on the display. Also the LG G5 will come with a similar feature called "Always On" display mode.

Moving on, a recent listing on India's import-export tracking website hints that the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge could be waterproof. The listing shows several "waterproof components" including a SIM tray and a microphone, along with conductive gasket tape- made for the Samsung SM-G930 (Galaxy S7) and Samsung SM-G935 (Galaxy S7 edge). The word "waterproof" doesn't literally mean waterproof but just water resistant.

Lastly A FCC document revealed that the Galaxy S7 will have a massive battery of 3600, a large increase over the 2600mAh battery on the Galaxy S6 edge. Its worth mentioning that all the above features and details of Galaxy S7 and S7 edge corroborates with earlier reports.
