Gionee to launch W909 flip phone w/ fingerprint sensor on March 29


Chinese smartphone maker Gionne has scheduled an event for March 29, where it will launch a high-end clamshell smartphone the W909.

The handset has already received TENAA approval last month, and was also spotted at Geekbench, revealing that the W909 will pack 4GB RAM and powered by MediaTek's Helio P10 processor. It is also expected to sport a 4.2-inch 720p touchscreen display, one on front and the other inside along with a T9 physical keypad. It is also expected to come with a fingerprint sensor and leather like finish on the back.

As per TENAA, the W909 will run Android 5.1 Lollipop and come with 32GB internal storage, microSD card slot for storage expansion, 16-megapixel rear camera w/ LED flash and 5-megapixel front snapper.

The Gionee W909 is expected to be priced CNY 4000 ($600 | Rs. 40,000) and will come in Gold color.
