Razer Blade 2016 gets upgraded specs, lighter weight, more colorful and cheaper
Razer has announced a new and updated Razer Blade gaming Laptop at Games Developer Conference (GDC) 2016. The new Blade laptop runs Windows 10 and comes with upgraded innards, a lighter weight and lower price.
The Razer Blade 2016 sports a 14-inch IGZO touchscreen display with QHD+ (3200 x 1800 pixels) resolution, and is armed with sixth generation quad-core Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor (2.6 GHz / 3.5 GHz), coupled with 16GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX970M graphics card w/ dedicated 6GB VRAM. It come with the option of either 256GB or 512GB SSD storage (PCIe M.2).
It includes 3 x USB 3.0 port, a USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3, HDMI port, Killer Wireless-AC 1535 802.11a/b/g/n/ac + Bluetooth 4.1), 2MP webcam and 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port.
Razer says that the over design of the Blade 2016 is same as its predecessor, but has shed some weight off the CNC-machined aluminum chassis.
The Blade 2016 comes with Chrome keyboard that includes RGB keys displaying several color patterns.The gaming laptop is also compatible with Razer's Core enclosure for desktop graphics cards.
The Razer Blade 2016 256 storage model is priced at $1999 (Rs. 1,34,700) and the 512GB storage model costs $2199 (Rs.1,48,000), that is $400 less as compared to 2015 model. It is already available for pre-orders and the shipping is expected to start next month.
