Amkette EvoTV 2 Android media-streaming box launched for Rs. 6,999

Amkette has launched EvoTV 2, an Android-powered media streaming box in India. The EvoTV 2 allows users to stram content like movies songs and games over WiFi to the TV screen from smartphones, laptop, tablets and PCs.

The Amkette EvoTV 2 offers access to around 200 apps via EVO TV App Store that includes Live News, Sports Matches, Movies, On demand TV shows, and Games. The app also offers curated contents. Users can also watch both local and global TV shows from various streaming services like Hotstar, Netflix, Voot and EROS NOW.

Some of the popular channels that will be available with EvoTV 2 include Colors, Star Sports, Star World, HBO Originals, Sony Liv, Aaj Tak Live, Saavn, NDTV, Times Now and BBC News. Some of the popular regional shows include The Kapil Sharma Show, MTV Roadies X4, Siya Ke Raam, Diya aur Baati to name a few, while international shows include Sherlock, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, House of Cards and so on.

The EvoTV 2 is equipped with 1.6GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A5 processor w/ Mali 450 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It includes 4 x USB ports, a LAN port, an HDMI port, a microSD card slot and runs Android 4.0. For wireless connectivity it supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It has a smart interface for users to add or select their favorite TV apps for quick and easy viewing of shows. It also features 7.1 Digital Surround Sound.
