Apple offers iPhone SE under leasing programme in India, Rs. 999 a month for two years

Apple's compact sized 4-inch iPhone SE went on sale in India last week at Rs. 39,000 (16GB) and Rs. 49,900 (64GB). Now in a bid to boost the sales of iPhone SE in the country, Apple has announced corporate leasing programme for the iPhone SE.

Under the new scheme, the Apple iPhone SE will be available to corporate users with monthly payments of Rs. 999 for two years. The plan is quite similar to the contract plans in the U.S and other countries, but in this case, the phone will be unlocked.

Additionally, Apple has also announced a similar plan for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, under which the phones are being offered with plans of Rs. 1,199 and Rs. 1,399 respectively per month. Corporate users can shift between iPhones, by just paying for the difference in the pricing of the leasing plans.

Apple is also aggressively advertising the new plans on newspapers to gain some momentum and traction. Since the price of the iPhone SE is too high in the Indian market and is receiving a lot of criticism, Apple also plans to decrease its price, once the company gets rid of all the iPhone 5s inventory.
