Google Play Music gets Podcast support

Google has added Podcasts as a new feature to Google Play music. It will be available on both the web and on the Android app, and you'll be able to discover, subscribe or listen to your favorite podcasts. 

Much like Play Music, Podcast also learns your likes and preferences, and offers you shows based on your mood, activities and interests. You can also download the episodes of a podcast automatically to your device, or choose to be notified when a new episode of your favorite podcast is out. Currently Google Play Podcast is available only in the U.S and Canada.  

"Starting today on the web and rolling out on Android in the U.S. and Canada, we’ll connect you with podcasts based on what you’re doing, how you’re feeling and what you’re interested in. Similar to our contextual playlists for music, we want to make it easy to find the right podcast—whether you’re a podcast aficionado or listening for the first time." Google said in its blog post.

Podcast creators can bring their shows to Google Play Music via Google's podcast portal. For more details check here. (currently available only in U.S and Canada).
