Huawei announces 10.1-inch MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro tablet

Huawei recently outed the P9, P9 Plus flagships and a toned down version P9 Lite smartphone. Now the company has officially announced a 10.1-inch tablet dubbed MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro, by listing on its website. Even though the tablet has a big screen, the hard-ware inside positions it in the mid-range market segment.

The Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro features a 10.1-inch WUXGA (1900 x 1200 pixels) IPS display (~224ppi) and is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 (4 x A53 1.5 GHz + 4 x A53 1.2 GHz) processor. It comes in three different version, 2GB RAM w/ 16GB storage, 3GB RAM w/ 16GB storage and 3GB RAM w/ 32GB storage. The tablet supports storage expansion via microSD card and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 on top.

For photography, it sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity features include 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz),GPS and Bluetooth 4.1. It is fueled by 6600mAh battery. The tablet measures 259.1mm x 156.4mm x 8.5mm, weighs 495g and comes in Pearl White and Charcoal Black color options.

Huawei is yet to announce the pricing and availability details.
