Portronics Electropen 3 smart pen launched for Rs. 5,499

India-based mobile accessories manufacturer, Portronics has launched a new smart pen dubbed Electropen 3 in India. Using the smart pen you can create designs and draw on paper, which will be displayed in real time on a smartphone or laptop. For this the pen uses a small receiver to scan whatever your writing. You'll also be able to covert you normal handwritten notes and sketches to digital ones.

The Electropen 3 also lets you record your designs and drawings in video format as well, and with the voice-over option and a built-in microphone, you can record videos with your voice. The smart pen uses a noremal pen refill and paper to create a content, so you will not need any other accessories to make use of it. You'll also be able to erase the content as well.

The Electropen 3 works with devices supporting Bluetooth 4.0 LE, USB OTG, iOS (support to be added soon), Android 4.4 or higher (smartphone) and Windows 8.1 or higher (PC). It connects to compatible devices over Bluetooth, and can also be connected via USB OTG. On a single charge it is claimed to run for more than 80 hours.
