Reddit finally launches official smartphone app

Popular social news networking service, Reddit has finally launched its official app for Android and iOS platform. The app is now available for download only in the U.S, Canada, UK and Australia, unfortunately India is not on the list.

Reddit have always focused on desktop users, and has not been much of a mobile friendly service, since there was no official app, and the mobile website was not that pleasing, but now it has taken care of mobile users as well. However it was available on mobile via a very popular third party app called Alien Blue since 2014.

The Official Reddit apps lets you browse, search, update and view the contents through customized themes, and also feature day/night mode for reading. You can also submit images, contents, links and stories for others to view and discuss. You will also be able to view stories in compact view or card view.
