Xiaomi Max, Mi Band 2 live images surfaces, launch set for May 10
After teasing the Max a couple of times, Xiaomi has finally announced that the phablet will be officially unveiled on May 10 at an event in Beijing, China. In addition, the brand is also expected Mi Band 2 is also expected to be released in the same event. Meanwhile live images of Max and Mi Band 2 has surfaced online.
The Max seen in the image has a bigger display, which will reportedly be 6.4-inch, and it appears that the phablet does not have a physical home button. Design-wise it looks similar to Xiaomi's flagship the Mi 5.
As for the Mi Band 2, the upcoming fitness tracker sports a display that is showing the time, but is also expected to show fitness related actives including daily steps, BMP and more. This is in line with earlier reports that suggested the next gen Mi Band 2 will have a display. There's also a physical button, but it is now know what kind of functionality the button will offer.
Earlier reports also mentioned that the Mi Band 2 will reduce its dependence on connected smartphone. Much like the Mi Band, the Mi Band 2 is also expected to have a removable, waterproof module fixed into a rubber strap, which will come in different colors. Since the wearable will feature a display, it is expected to be priced slightly higher than its predecessor.
