Micromax Canvas Evok with Snapdragon 415 SoC, 3GB RAM launched at Rs. 8,499

Micromax has expaded its 4G smartphone portfolio under its Canvas series with the launch of Canvas Evok. The phone sits under the sub-Rs. 10,000 price segment and comes with decent specification for its price.

The Micromax Canvas Evok sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS 2.5D display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top, and is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 415 processor backed by Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be further increased via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

For photography, it gets 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 1.1um pixel size, and for clicking selfies and video calling you get 5-megapixel wide-angle front facing camera. Connectivity duties are handled by dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Evok is priced at Rs. 8,499 and will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting May 17.
