Alcatel X1 with Eye-D biometric system available in India for Rs. 15,999
Alcatel has silently launched the X1 smartphone in India. It is available for purchase through online retailer Amazon India and Flipkart for Rs. 15,999. The main highlight of the X1 is it supports Eye-D, an eye-biometric system that unlocks the phone without touching it.
The Alcatel X1 comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with Dragontrail Glass protection and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 415 processor further aided by Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage, which can be increased via microSD card (up to 128GB).
For photography, it rocks a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture and on the front there is 5-megapixel 1.4um pixel size camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture.
The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is backed by 2150mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time and up to 74 hours of standby time. Also on-board is Hi-Fi HD Sound with Cirrus Logic and Arkamys Enhancement tech that offers enhanced sound experience.
The X1 sports a slim 6.99m anodized aluminum frame and has Corning's Gorilla Glass protection on the back. It comes in black and white color options.
