'Godless' Android Malware Affecting Around 8 Lakh Devices Worldwide, Mostly In India
There's is a new security threat to open mobile platform Android and its affecting users worldwide with the most targeted area to be India. A family of malware which is now popular enough to gain a name which is 'Godless' is making its way to many users and the hacker gains all the access to the smartphone with this simple threat.

The above chart shows some numbers that follows which country is affected in what quantity of total attack. With India being on the top which bypass all other countries far away is now a matter to be considered seriously.
The data and information is sourced from the cyber-security firm Trend Micro's Mobile App Reputation Service.
The firm says that apps containing this malware is now running on Google Play Store also which is a serious risk to android users. To the total data, firm says over 8,50,000 devices are affected till now to this malware and numbers are still growing.
What Is Godless Malware?
Godless malware is basically a big family of malware which makes way to android devices via certain apps which are not fully authorized and are from unknown sources. It hides inside an app and then exploits the root of the system which grants access of the device to hackers through which they can install many undesirable apps and retrieve various important hidden information of users.
It can also install spyware on the devices and seen to be affecting Android 5.1 and earlier which is a big matter to worry because according to Android's Distribution Chart the OS which is secure from this attack is Marshmallow and the least used Android OS currently worldwide.
To prevent this malware from attacking your device, don't install any unknown app from unauthorized stores and ads. Don't click any unnecessary ads while browsing in your smartphone. This way, you carry less chances of getting caught in this malware's action!
