Cloud based Nextbit Robin now available for $299 worldwide

The "cloud first" Nextbit Robin was launched back in September last year on crowd-funding platform Kickstarter for $399. The company also offered the phone at a discounted price of $299 in the US via Amazon, for a limited period, but later made the discount permanent in the country. The Robin also made its way to India last month for a lower Rs. 19,999.

Until now the Robin was available at a discounted price in India and the U.S, and now Nextbit has announced $100 global price cut for the Robin and is now available for $299. The price cut is applicable only if you buy the Robin from the company website with free shipping to your country.

The unique feature of Nextbit Robin is that it offers free 100GB cloud storage in addition to 32GB native storage. When the devices storage runs out of memory, all photos, unused apps, videos are backed up in the cloud, given that you're connected to a WiFi.

To recap, the Robin comes with 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and 2680mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0.
