Everything From Apple At WWDC 2016
The Worldwide Developer Conference 2016 (WWDC 2016) has been wrapped and this article will take you through what Apple had offered there to the public. Well, the giant has been known for hardware majorly but this year has been sort of different in the terms. Apple didn't launched any new hardware so the conference witnessed all the software changes this time from the company. Let's get started.
watchOS 3
Well being the latest member in this technology era, The wearables, Apple offered a new iteration of watchOS to users. Main highlights of this offering included that apps on watchOS 3 now loads upto 7x faster than it used to be, New dock feature, Not so strange Control Center like iOS.
The Quick Reply has been added and Pre-Written responses have been loaded into the system, there is also a new Scribble app that is ought to be a handwriting typer for the watch.
SOS facility in the watch itself that helps contacting 911 in case of emergency with the side button being pressed for a while, New health app called Breathe that basically helps for meditation thing.
tvOS
New tvOS is not much changed and had some additions anyways. Channels have been increased from 80 to 1300, New remote app to control the TV from your iPhone and all new Single Sign In mode. Nothing to excite about here.
OS X is now macOS
The name has been changed to much simpler macOS and the latest version combines Sierra with it. This has some pretty big and useful changes but most of them seems to be copied from Android lately. New smart unlock feature that unlocks your mac if you are wearing the watch and won't prompt to ask for passcode.
The coolest new change is the Universal Clipboard that lets you copy something from the mac and lets you paste on your iPhone that is no hardware limitation, the clipboard syncs the copied data across devices.
Siri the Apple's Artificial Intelligence Program is now on macOS Sierra and she (as the Apple states) will be available at the right dock of the home.
iOS 10
Apple's iOS 10 can be considered the turning of iOS into Android as mostly introduced updates to this system is actually present in Android. I see what you did there Apple. Well, to start with we have a whole new lockscreen to which Camera is at right and Widgets are at left, Notifications are also revamped and now contains 3D Touch capability to see and reply instantly from the lockscreen itself.
New 'Raise To Wake' feature has been introduced that totally works like the Moto Display in Androids. Totally copied concept Apple!
Photos, Music and Maps has been totally redesigned to give users a change in experience of usage.
A New Home app, News app overhaul and Phone app has been reconstructed in effort to make users feel like they are actually running a new iOS
iMessage gets a new fun update that all new emojis are now bigger and the words like Queen, King will be prompted to change to emojis in texts.
All the new offering from Apple will be fully operational and out to users this fall, till then they have planned to release beta version to the public and Siri has now been opened to developers so that they can use this assistant to work with third party apps!
