Google Now on Tap gets new nearby and quick action tabs

Google has updated it popular Now on Tap functionality, which now gets two new card tabs for quick actions and nearby places. The new card tabs will be visible on the beta version 6.0 of the Google app, and will roll out to all users in the coming days.

The updated Now on Tap will give you access to quick action tabs such as new reminder, create an event, set an alarm, start timer, navigate to work and navigate to home. The nearby places card will quickly have google search for nearby restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, gas station, and ATM. Tapping on any of these cards, Google will open the feature in its interface.

Google earlier this month added text select and image search feature for Now on Tap. The Now on Tap feature made its way to Android devices with Android Marshmallow and  can be used by touching and holding the home button. It offers contextual information around the topic mentioned in the screen currently open.
