Intex Aqua View with fingerprint sensor, Eyelet VR Cardboard launched for Rs. 8,999
Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex this year have been adapting the most popular smartphone technology such as fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connector and 4G LTE. Unlike last year, where the company launched entry-level 3G devices, this year, has opted for devices with 4G LTE connectivity support. Intex also launched its first smartphone to boast Fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port the Aqua Secure and followed it up with Intex Cloud String HD (no USB Type-C).
Now the company has expended it fingerprint scanner-totting line up with the launch of Aqua View. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, the other unique feature of the phone is that it comes with a free Google Cardboard-like Eyelet VR (virtual reality headset) for viewing VR content.
The EyeLet is based on Google Cardboard version 2, has 34 mm lenses and supports smartphones of screen up to 6-inches. The phone comes with an in-built Cardboard app, that allows users to expereince Eyelet VR technology.
Coming to the specs, the Intex Aqua View comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved display and is powered by 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor backed by Mali T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be further increased via microSD card (up to 32GB).
For photography, it gets 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 2200mAh battery, which promises seven hours of talk time and nine days of standby time.
The Intex Aqua View is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available across channels in the country.
