Lenovo Vibe K5 launched in India for Rs. 6,999

Lenovo has launched the budget Vibe K5 smartphone in India for Rs. 6,999. The Vibe K5 comes in Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Graphite Gray colors, and will be available through flash sale exclusively from Amazon India scheduled for June 22, for which the registrations are now open.

The Vibe K5 is the successor to last year's A6000, and is a slightly downgraded variant of Vibe K5 Plus that launched for Rs. 8,499 in March 2016 in terms of screen resolution and performance.

The Lenovo K5 comes with 5-inch HD (720p) display and Snapdragon 415 SoC, instead of 5-inch Full HD (1080p) and Snapdragon 616 SoC on the Vibe K5 Plus. Other features include 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, Dual SIM slot, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 4G LTE Dolby ATMOS powered dual stereo speakers and 2750mAh battery.

The phone also supports Lenovo's TheaterMax technology, that allows for immersive VR experience using the ANT VR headset.
