Micromax launches music-centric Canvas Fire 5 for Rs. 6,199

Micromax has expanded its range of affordable smartphone with the launch of Canvas Fire 5. Much like previous Canvas series devices, the Canvas 5 is also music-centric. The phone has dual front-firing speakers with Auro 3D sound hat promises loud and clear sound. It also comes with 6 months free premium Gaana subscription, which gives users access to unlimited song downloads.

The Micromax Canvas Fire 5 sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB native storage, which can be increased via microSD card (up to 64GB). It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

For photography, there's 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 5-megapixel front facing camera accompanied by an LED flash for clicking selfies. The dual-SIM phone supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2500mAh battery. 

Priced at Rs. 6,199, the Micromax Canvas Fire 5 will be available via major retail stores across the country. It comes in Champagne, Grey and Silver colors.
