Moto Z Moto Mods pricing details leak, and they are not cheap

Motorola introduced the Moto Z series smartphone along with Moto Mods ecosystem at Lenovo Tech World event last week. The Moto Mods are modular add-on accessories that adds extra functionality to the Moto Z devices. They snap to the rear of the Moto Z via high power magnets. These include Insta-share projector mod, Style Shell mod, JBL SoundBoost mod and Power Pack mod.

Unfortunately, Motorola did not reveal the pricing of both Moto Mod and Moto Z at the event, but thanks to the Moto Mods listing on the My Verizon app, the prices are no longer a suspense, and they're not cheap.

Here’s the pricing of various Moto mods:

Tumi Style Shell – $70 (Rs. 4,700)
Kate Spade New York Style Shell – $80 (Rs. 5,400)
JBL SoundBoost – $80 (Rs. 5,400)
Power Pack – $90 (Rs. 6,000)
Tumi Wireless Charging Power Pack – $100 (Rs. 6,600)
Insta-Share Projector – $299 (Rs. 20,000)

To recall the Insta-Share projector mod turns the Moto Z to a 70-inch projector, the Power Pack mod adds 22 hours of additional battery life and JBL SoundBoost mod brings 2 x 3w speaker at the rear to boost audio. Style shells are swappable back panels that are made of premium materials.

Motorola is also expected to release more Moto Mods in the features like high-quality camera w/ optical zoom lens, Adventure mod (for waterproof), OneCompute mod that works just like Windows 10 Continuum, which lets you connect a keyboard, mouse and display to use the phone as a desktop PC.
