Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 is a 10.1-inch rugged tablet aimed at enterprises
Panasonic has expanded its rugged Toughpad lineup of Android tablet with the launch of Toughpad FZ-A2 aimed at enterprise sector. Since it has a rugged design with magnesium alloy body, the tablet is shock resistant making it capable of withstanding drops from up to 120cm, and is IP65 rated for dust and water resistance. It runs Android Marshmallow and comes with Android for Work.
The Panasonic Toughpad F2-A2 features 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display (w/ sunlight readability) and is powered by 1.44GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor further aided by Intel HD graphics 400 and 4GB RAM. In-built storage is 32GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.
The camera department gets 8-megapixel rear camera and Full HD front facing camera. Connectivity duties are handled by dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-A port, USB Type-C port, HDMI and GPS. It also includes optional smartcard reader, 2D barcode reader and 4G. The promises nine hours of run time.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 starts at 939 GBP ($1330 | Rs. 89,400) and will be available from July 2016.
