Samsung Galaxy Note7 to pack 3600mAh battery, launch on August 2

By now it is confirmed (unofficially) that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note phablet will be called Galaxy Note7. The information along with specifications was revealed by Evan Blass over the weekend.

Now another leakster from Russia named Eldar Murtazin, has offered additional information of the Galaxy Note7. First up Murtazin has reaffirmed that Galaxy Note7 will launch on August 2. The other information he offered was about the battery life of the phablet.

Earlier it was rumored that Galaxy Note7 will pack a 4000mAh battery, that would be 33 percent more compared to the 3000mAh battery found on Galaxy Note5. But According to Murtazin, the Galaxy Note7 will pack 3600mAh battery, which is currently utilized by Galaxy S7 edge.

He further reveals that even with 3600mAh battery, Galaxy Note7 will be able to offer 20 hours of video playback at maximum brightness on single recharge. If true, then Samsung would have done a lot of optimization to make the display and CPU power efficient.

Over the weekend, Blass confirmed that Galaxy Note7 will feature 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 4GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 12MP rear camera with Dual-Pixel phase-detection auto-focus, 5MP front camera, iris scanner and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Color options include Black, Silver and Blue.

As for the other specs, rumors suggest that, Galaxy Note7 will pack 6GB RAM, come in 64GB/128GB/256 storage options, and powered by Snapdragon 821 or Exynos 8893 SoC.
