Aiptek iBeamBlock is a modular mini PC


Recently Sunty introduced a mini PC that has 7-inch touchscreen display, battery and a built-in projector to project contents on a screen. Now Aiptek has implemented the same idea in a modular form.

The Aiptek iBeamBlock takes the form of modular mini PC and comes with three components including, a touchscreen mini PC/tablet, projector and a battery pack. The components can be stacked on top of one another and communicate via pogo-pins. You can either buy all the three components together or just the one you need, as each of them are capable of running independently.

The Aiptek Projector L400 has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (720p), and offers 720 lumens of brightness, casts an image up to 120 inches. It can also connect with PC, laptops, tablet or smartphone for mirror projection via HDMI port.

Aiptek's mini PC is called Pad 45D features a 4.5-inch multi-touch IPS LCD display, Intel Atom Z3745 Bay trail processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. There's a microSD card slot, and the mini PC runs Windows 10. It also has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and Pogo pins for connecting peripherals.

The battery module is called PB-10 and packs a massive 3.7V, 12000mAh battery that promises up to two hours of projection time, or extended run time when used just with tablet/mini PC component.

The Apitek iBeamBlock is expected to be priced 699 Euros for all three components, but the projector will cost 499 Euros, and will be available for purchase soon.
