Asus Announces Three Tiered ZenFone 3

 

Asus, on Tuesday, unveiled the trio of ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 and ZenfFone 3 Ultra at the Computex 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan. All the phones run on Android Marshmallow. We have briefly summarised the specifications and prices of the three variants below:

 

Zenfone 3 Deluxe

 

 

Costing $776, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the first device that has been made official with the Snapdragon 821. Packing in 6GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.0 storage, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe also sports a 23MP camera with TriTech auto-focus. With invisible antennas, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe flares a flawless design without any gaps on the edges of the all-metal phone. The Super AMOLED screen along with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution display ensures that you get a lively experience with graphics beyond your imagination. Gorilla Glass 4 ensures that the Zenfone 3 Deluxe can survive a fall without a scratch. And with always-on technology, the screen keeps vital information in constant view for whenever you need it — without waking up the whole display.

Zenfone 3 Ultra

 



 

Priced at $579, the ZenFone 3 Ultra has an all metal design with invisible antenna just like the Deluxe Variant. The 6.8'' Full HD IPS display sports Gorilla Glass 4 which makes the display break resistant. ZenFone 3 Ultra is the world’s first smartphone with a dedicated display processor like those found in the latest 4K UHD TVs. ZenFone 3 Ultra’s SonicMaster 3.0 technology combines audio innovations which result in more volume, more quality and more effects.



 

The 23-megapixel camera along with it's ultra-fast 0.03s instant focus & subject tracking and TriTech AF technology allows you to capture each detail with great clarity. Even when you are inside a moving vehicle, you can shoot shake-free photos and videos.

Inside there's a Snapdragon 652, 4GB of RAM, USB-C 3.0 port and a 4,600 mAh battery.

Zenfone 3



At $249, the ZenFone 3 is the cheapest of the ZenFone 3 trio Asus announced. It has a 5.5-inch Super IPS+ screen with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution to show every detail to perfection. The 16-megapixel rear camera allows you to capture 4k videos. It also has a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

 

Inside the ZenFone 3, there is a Snapdragon 625 processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. The 3000 mAh battery is the place where we feel the ZenFone 3 fails to make a mark. Like the Deluxe and the Ultra variants, it also sports a fingerprint sensor, USB-C port, SonicMaster audio engine and ZenUI 3.0. What separates ZenFone 3 from the Ultra and Deluxe variants is that it is made from two panels of glass on the front and back with a metal frame.

Packing in 4GB of RAM & 64GB of storage, it's available in gold, blue, black, and white colors.

Thus, ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the most expensive of the trio at $776, followed by the Ultra variant at $579 and ZenFone 3 at $249.
