Google is working on a virtual reality version of Chrome for Android
It also includes VR Shell, which will allow Android smartphone users to browse any website in VR mode, using the Cardboard or even Daydream-ready headsets. However it is not included in the beta version and is limited to Dev Channel build of the app.
Currently users need to wear VR headset for VR-ready website, but they will have to remove it for browsing non-VR sites. However, Google is working on adding fully immersive browsing capability to chrome, allowingusers to browse the entire website in virtual reality. The upcoming functional VR Shell support for Chrome will allow Cardboard and Daydream-ready devices to browse websites with a headset.
