Metal clad Meizu MX6 with 5.5-inch display, Helio X20 SoC gets official
Meizu has officially announced the successor of the MX5 and second flagship offering of 2016, the MX6 in China. The MX6 sports a slim 7.5mm full metal body with magnesium alloy frame that weighs just 149g and an has mTouch 2.1 home button with an integrated fingerprint sensor, for security.
The Meizu MX6 comes with 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) LCD display and is powered by 2.3GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor backed by Mali T880 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be increased via microSD.
For photography it gets 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 rear camera complemented by dual-tone LED flash, 6P lenses, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and 4K recording. For clicking selfies and video calling you get 5-megapixel front snapper.
The dual-SIM phone runs Flyme OS 5.5 based on Android Marshmallow and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C. It is fueled by 3060mAh battery, which supports mCharge fast charging technology that lets you charge the phone up to 65% in 30 minutes and fully charge it in just 75 minutes using a 24W fast charger.
Priced at CNY 1999 ($298 | Rs. 20,000), The Meizu MX6 will be available for order in China starting today and goes on sale from July 30. It comes in Gray, Silver, Gold and Pink colors.
Meizu also introduced a new accessory called Loop Jacket flip cover for CNY 79 ($12 | Rs. 790). It has a round window to display notification, time and more. It works with bot MX6 and Pro 6.
