Microsoft is working on Surface All-in-One PC
The Surface line-up has been Microsoft's strength in the PC/tablet market. Last year the company announced the Surface Pro 4 2-in-1 tablet and Surface Book, their first laptop, and now Microsoft is reportedly adding a new product to the surface line up.
The Redmond giant is reportedly working on a new Surface all-in-one (AIO) PC running Windows 10. The report was published on Digitimes, but Windows Central has confirmed the same citing reliable source, with one alteration.
The Surface AIO PC will be marketed as an alternative to Surface Book 2, the report adds, while Surface Book 2 will be delayed to first half of 2017.
Furthermore, Digitimes states that the release of Surface AIO PC will have a strong impact on the global AIO PC market, which is declining (14M in 2015 | 12.6M in 2016). Although a late entry, there's no doubt that Microsoft will pit the Surface AIO PC against Apple's AIO iMac PCs, Google's Chromebase AIO PC and other Windows based AIO PC.
Currently there are not details on specification of the Surface AIO PC, but we can expect it to pack top class hardware. Microsoft is also working on a Surface Phone.
