Plans and preview offer for Reliance Jio 4G JioLink indoor WiFi router revealed

Reliance Jio's 4G LTE trials recently expanded to select Samsung smartphone users in addition to LYF devices. Now with Jio's commercial launch getting closer, new information regarding Jio's JioLink Indoor WiFi have surfaced.

FoneArena reports that JioLink WiFi router will soon be launched in the country to solve poor coverage or slow speeds in some areas especially when indoors.The router will come with free Jio preview offer, under which users will get unlimited 4G data and access to Jio's suite of premium apps for 90 days.

The JioLink indoor WiFi is a CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) in which the indoor router (home/office) connects to Unidirectional Antenna installed on the roof of a building, to offer high speed. It features a RJ46 port and is connected to the antenna via Cat5/Cat6 cable. In simple words the router acts a 4G wireless hotspot with antenna and acts as a signal booster to smartphones with Jio SIM.

Jio offers 4G LTE service on three LTE bands – Band 3 – 1800MHz, Band 5 – 850MHz and Band 40 – 2300 MHz, so its possible that the router will be optimized to take advantage of these bands, making it function as a signal booster. Interestingly JioLink users can also enjoy Jio's 4G LTE services on devices which do not support Jio's LTE bands.

The price of installation and setup of JioLink solution at your home or office will cost Rs. 2,500. The JioLink preview offer is available in select cities across India, which Jio Preview offer for Samsung and LYF smartphones are available. It is expected to go on sale at Relaince Digital stores later this week.
