Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 with Smart Glow LED press render surface

Earlier reports have suggested that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy J2 2016 will feature a Smart Glow ring type LED indicator on the back of the phone to alert users of incoming notifications. The phone is expected to launch in India soon alongside Galaxy J1 2016, and ahead of the announcement the Galaxy J2 2016 renders have surfaced in golden color.

The Smart Glow is located at the back of the phone around the camera lens, and will go when users receive a notification. Users can configure Smart Glow with different colors for phone call, e-mail, text messages and more. It will also light up when battery is low and also assists users when taking selfies with rear camera by turning blue when the user's face is in the field of view. Smart Glow is also expected to feature in Samsung's next Galaxy S series flagship device, the Galaxy S8.

As for the specs, the Galaxy J2 2016 is expected to come with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, 1.5GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt expandable storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE and Android Marshmallow.
