Samsung smartphone users to get free Jio 4G SIM with three months of unlimited data, calls

So far, you needed LYF branded smartphone to get your hands on Reliance Jio SIM card, but that's about to change at least for Samsung smartphone users. TechPP reports that Samsung will launch Jio Preview offer in partnership with Reliance Jio soon.

Jio Preview will be available for select Samsung smartphone and will offer unlimted HD voice and video calls, unlimited SMS, unlimited 4G data and free access to Jio Premium apps for three months.

The Samsung smartphones that will be eligible for the offer include Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 5 / Note 5 Duos, Galaxy Note 4 Galaxy A8, Galaxy A5 2015 and A5 2016 and Galaxy A7 2015 and A7 2016.

To get Jio SIM card and avail the offer you will need to download MyJio app on any eligible smartphone. Inside the app, tap on "Get Jio SIM", and you will get a coupon which contains a barcode and a coupon code with limited validity. To get the Jio SIM card you'll have to go to the nearest Reliance store or DX Mini store and submit all the required documents such as ID proof and address proof.

After you receive the SIM, you can insert it into your Samsung phone and verify it by calling 1977. You can then activate the preview offer inside the MyJio app. Once the activation process is complete you will be notified via SMS. Note that the offer might not be valid in some places, so you’d need to do a location eligibility check.

Reliance Jio will reportedly launch its highly-awaited 4G services across India commercially on August 15.
